Call for papers – Diskrepancija student journal

We invite all interested students to contribute to the next issue of the Diskrepancija Journal – Vol. 18 No. 26.

The subject matter is open. We would like to emphasize that, besides works from the field of sociology, we also accept submissions from the other social sciences.
That being said, with regard to the current global events, we would like to encourage work on the following subjects:

• the war in Ukraine
• the crisis in the EU (Brexit, Euroskepticism, identity crisis, uneven access, Schengen borders…)
• the economy (supply chains, resources, inflation, green economy, the adoption of the Euro…)
• the global rise of the political right
• the role of the media in informing the public (the presentation of politics, attitudes, and ideologies; public opinion; polarization, the simplification and trivialization of social issues; independent media)
• technology (the societal submission to technology; the change in work relations; technocracy…)

The right to submit their works belongs to persons who have student status during the academic year of 2022/2023, whether it is on the undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate level. We only accept submissions that were not previously published in other journals.

Acceptable submission forms:
• original scientific article
• overview article
• professional paper
• translation
• report
• review
• essay
• sketch, picture, drawing, comic strip, photograph…

The directions for formatting the submission are on Diskrepancija’s website:
http://diskrepancija.hr/hr/sekcije/casopis-diskrepancija/naputak-suradnicima/ and on Hrčak: https://hrcak.srce.hr/diskrepancija. The editor’s board accepts works written in Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, and English.

The deadline for paper submission is the 15th of February 2023.

Submissions are sent to the e-mail address of the editor’s board: diskrepancija@gmail.com. We are available to answer all of the questions that you might have – whether electronically, through the same mail address, or personally, in the space of the Faculty.

Cordially,
Diskrepancija Journal’s editorial board
